Last week we visited the beach for the day. It was a perfect hot, dry summer's day with air temperature about 85 and water temperature about 70. It seems as though everyone had the same idea as we did, so the beach was full of families--moms, dads, children, teens, grandparents--all having a great time running into the waves, boogie boarding, building sand castles, relaxing, and reading in the sand. Eventually, when I got a bit tired or reading and had finished all my swimming for the day,I decided to employ my phone camera to focus on color and patterns by making an umbrella collage. Fortunately, when I asked people for permission to take a quick photo of their umbrellas, they were totally accommodating and kind. The result is one which evokes the joy and exhilaration of a day at the beach!
