Description
In this work of art within a work of art, the artist had been sketching this beautiful Italian harbor for just a short time when I came upon him. Portofino, on the Italian Riviera, is "an Italian fishing village and vacation resort famous for its picturesque harbour and historical association with celebrity and artistic visitors. The town is "clustered around its small harbour, and is known for the colourfully painted buildings that line the shore." My wife and I visited there a few years ago on a Mediterranean cruise. It was then and still remains one of our favorite ports and harbors in the world!
In a time-intensive process, which is truly a labor of love, I use as many as eight different professional photography and digital painting programs to transform the photograph into an impressionistic painting which is worthy of a very special place in your home--as a framed work of art or especially as a museum-quality canvas.
