Description
I came upon these gorgeous columbine wildflowers as I walked through the Quabbin Reservoir in North Central Massachusetts. Just this year I have begun refining my skills in digital painting as I use a variety of techniques and programs to simulate paintings in oil and watercolor. I am an artist who has always been inspired by beauty--whether that beauty is the work of Nature or Humanity. Using my own photographs, I create stylized and impressionistic interpretations of landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, flowers, and animals. I utilize vibrant colors, bold shapes, interesting textures, and creative brush strokes in my work. In a time-intensive process, which is truly a labor of love, I use as many as eight different professional photography and digital painting programs--experimenting with hundreds of brushstrokes, playing with subtleties of light and color, to transform each of my own photographs into an impressionistic painting which is worthy of a very special place in your home--as a framed work of art, or especially as a museum-quality canvas.
